Charlie Sheen stepped out yesterday to pay tribute to his dear old friend, “the one, the only” Slash. The rock god got honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame, and Sheen, along with producer Robert Evans and radio host Jim Ladd got to speak on Slash’s behalf. Sheen, being the big old joker he is, took some time during his speech to crack some jokes about Axl Rose, rehab and coke. Watch the video below.
Sheen started off his speech by ridiculing Axl Rose saying, “It’s quite fitting that Slash is getting a star on the very street Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on.” The crowd burst into cheers and laughs, and was both warm to Sheen and Slash.
Most of Sheen’s speech was filled with Merriam Webster dictionary definitions and 80s references. At one point he said, “This star is going to be stepped on more than the coke we did in the Eighties.”
Slash seemed to enjoy himself during Sheen’s speech, especially during that Axl Rose joke. You can see him cracking laughs at the end of it.
The fallout between Guns N’ Roses singer Alx Rose and guitarist Slash has been reaching new heights lately. Most recently Rose refused to attend the Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony for the band. After this joke, it’s unlikely that there will ever be a GNR reunion. Check out the video:
