Beyonce Cast As Queen Tara In 3-D Animated Film 'Epic'

<P>For a while now, folks have been referring to <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> as a queen ... but now, she's going to make it official. On the big screen.</P><P>According to <a href="http://www.deadline.com/2012/05/beyonce-colin-farrell-josh-hutcherson-amanda-seyfried-steven-tyler-lead-voice-cast-for-fox-animated-film-epic/" target="_blank">Deadline.com</a>, Beyoncé has been cast as Queen Tara in the upcoming 3-D, CGI-animated film "Epic," a 20th Century Fox film from the makers of the hits "Ice Age" and "Rio."</P><P>The film reportedly tells the tale of a teenage girl transported to a secret universe, where she finds herself dropped square in the middle of a battle between the forces of good and evil. She joins forces with "a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters" to save the world. "Epic" is slated to hit theaters on May 24, 2013.</P><P>It's the first confirmed role for Beyoncé since she took time off for maternity leave, though she's also slated to star in the Clint Eastwood-directed remake of "A Star Is Born."</P><P>Starring alongside Bey in the movie are the likes of Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Aziz Ansari and a pair of her fellow musicians, Pitbull and Aerosmith frontman/"American Idol" judge Steven Tyler. Johnny Knoxville, Jason Sudeikis and Judah Friedlander round out the cast.</P><P>Josh Hutcherson is also set to appear alongside Beyoncé in the film. He's currently riding high off the massive success of "Hunger Games," which is tied with "Bridesmaids" for the most nominations at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, which will air Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.</P><P><b>Head over to <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2012/">MovieAwards.MTV.com</a> to vote for your favorite flicks now! Andy Griffith Dead At Age 86
Legendary actor Andy Griffith has died at age 86. Hollywood has lost yet another icon, sad.
When you hear the name Andy Griffith you think of two things, in my opinion anyway, The Andy Griffith Show or Matlock. Today the infamous star of both of those shows has passed away. The 86-year old actor died this morning of natural causes. His death was reported by his long-time friend UNC President Bill Friday, who broke the news to a local news station in North Carolina.
Griffith had an amazing career and his death will affect many, those who knew him personally and those who didn’t. Ever since he burst onto the TV screen playing the folksy top cop in show that bared his name, he has been impressing fans and Hollywood alike with his talent. Side note here the fictional town of Mayberry was actually based on Andy’s own hometown Mount Airy, N.C. I know he was on The Ed Sullivan show before that but let’s be honest it was the goofy sitcom that made him a household name.
After having a very successful run with the 1960’s sitcom Griffith went on to star in the 190’s hit show Matlock where he played a do-gooder detective who solved mysteries. Matlock can currently be seen all over syndication. He is also known for the 1957 film A Face in the Crowd in which he played a darker character than those he chose later on in his career.
The world definitely lost a one of kind man who was full of talent today. He is survived by his third wife Cindy and his two daughters from his first marriage to Barbara Edwards. Andy also had a son with Barbara who died back in 1986.
I may have been born after the 1960’s but I do remember watching The Andy Griffith Show in reruns. It how I will best remember one of the most talented actors of all time. How will you remember this legendary icon?

Keira Knightley Films 'Can A Song Save Your Life' In NYC
Hard at work on her latest project, Keira Knightley was spotted on the New York City set of her newest film "Can A Song Save Your Life" on Monday (July 2).
The brunette beauty looked focused as she was seen walking around set at the legendary Electric Lady Studio in a casual outfit that included navy trousers and a striped top.
The new John Carney directed film centers around a dejected music business executive who ends up forming a bond with a young singer-songwriter who is new to Manhattan.
Also starring Mark Ruffalo and Adam Levine, the music-inspired drama is set to hit the big screen sometime in 2013.

Willow Smith's "I Am Me" Music Video: Watch Now!
Proclaiming her individuality in her latest song, Willow Smith has once again wowed fans with her new music video for "I Am Me".
In the track, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's 11-year-old daughter slams those who criticize her about her choices and fashion sense.
Willow premiered her "I Am Me" music video at the 2012 BET Awards, and, in the video, the "Fireball" singer moves around New York City on a skateboard pausing to sing in the middle of a busy street while belting out the lyrics: “Express myself cause it’s my liberty / I’ve been lookin’ / Your validation is just not that important to me.”
Also not important to Miss Smith is what people think of her buzzed hairstyle or what she wears, as she sings, "People don't like the way I dress, or where I'm at. I dye my hair and it's not just vanity," adding, "I am me, I am free. That's all I can be."
Encouraging others to also be carefree, Smith sings, "You have to be yourself. Be real, Be honest. Cause ain't nobody got time for that. They really don't."
After the premiere of "I Am Me", Willow took to Twitter to thank her fans while tweeting a link to her new hit, adding, "Thanks for the #IAMME Luv! This is for you guys!!!"

Taking a break from their busy filming schedule, costars Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen were spotted hanging around the set of their new flick "Very Good Girls" this morning (July 2).
Sporting some rather casual attire for their work day, the "Martha Marcy May Marlene" actress and the "I Am Sam" star were both clad in loose button down blouses and denim bottoms as they meandered about with braided tresses.
As for the movie itself, "Very Good Girls" centers on "Two New York City girls pact to lose their virginity during their first summer out of high school. When they both fall for the same street artist, the friends find their connection tested for the first time," according to IMDb.
Due out in theaters sometime in 2013, the much-anticipated drama also boasts Demi Moore, Peter Sarsgaard and Boyd Holbrook on its cast roster, with director Naomi Foner taking the helm.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> apparently wants to go shopping in preparation for her next concert in Bangkok — for a fake Rolex.</P><P>At least that's what she told her 24 million Twitter followers upon her arrival in Bangkok on Wednesday (May 30). "I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Will Bring a 'Personal' Touch To 'Born This Way' Tour" id="vid:717952" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>The tweet sparked instantaneous uproar on various social media and web forums, as many local residents felt the comment was insulting, abrasive and generally damaging to the reputation of Thailand. An official at the ministry's Intellectual Property Department recently told <i>Reuters</i> that: "Lady Gaga is a representative of the U.S. and the U.S. puts pressure on smaller countries to promote the protection of intellectual property," adding that "she should tell her fans that they shouldn't use fake goods."</P><P>The controversial message has also been addressed by members of Thailand's music industry. Thai DJ Suharit Siamwalla responded by tweeting: "We are more civilized than you think," then added that he now plans to boycott Gaga's show on Friday.</P><P>It seems that Mother Monster just can't seem to stay out of trouble as her <i>Born This Way</i> Ball makes its way across Asia. The Thailand controversy comes almost immediately after she had to <a href="/news/articles/1685092/lady-gaga-cancels-show-indonesia.jhtml">cancel a show in Indonesia</a>, and then responded to various <a href="/news/articles/1685564/lady-gaga-islam-threat-indonesia-concert.jhtml">Islamic threats surrounding that show</a>.</P><P>Not all fans have taken umbrage with Gaga's latest comments. <P>As promised, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> and her boys Lil Wayne, T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Andre 3000 dropped a new <a href="/news/articles/1672529/lil-wayne-kesha-ti-wiz-khalifa-remix.jhtml">remix of "Sleazy"</a> on Tuesday (December 13).</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="MTV News Extended Play: Ke$ha" id="id:1661961" width="240" height="211"></div><p></P><P>The Bangladesh-produced song originally appeared on K-Dollar's 2010 <a href="/news/articles/1651081/keha-gets-sleazy-on-new-cannibal-track.jhtml"><i>Cannibal</i> album</a> before a <a href="/news/articles/1656039/andre-3000-pops-up-on-kehas-sleazy-remix.jhtml">remix featuring Andre</a> popped up earlier this year. The latest version of the song is available for purchase and is all over blogs like <a href="http://www.rap-up.com/2011/12/12/new-music-kesha-f-wiz-khalifa-andre-3000-ti-lil-wayne-sleazy-remix/" target="_blank">Rap-Up.com</a>. The song gets a bit dirtier and introspective thanks to verses from the guys that play up the track's bumping beat.</P><P>Wiz kicks it off, rapping about designer clothes and his lady love, Amber Rose. "OK, I'm young and I'm tatted/ I get them bucks like an addict/ Rocking this Christian Dior/ I spend so much on my fabric/ I got a wifey at home/ And what she wants she can have it," he spits before going on about chilling on the beach, being rich and his prowess in the bedroom.</P><P>Sitting in between Wiz and Tip is Andre's recycled verse, before T.I. gets his shot and gets sexy, asking Ke$ha, "Do you know what to do with me?" before he launches into a verse all about how good he is to the ladies. "Bad bitches know me/ So don't bother introducing me/ They want me more than diamonds," he brags before explaining that it has a lot to do with his impressive anatomy.</P><P>Wayne closes it out, adding his own signature flair. "We be on that sh-- that no one be on/ That's what we on/ Smoke that neon, Kings of Leon/ Dynamite, Napoleon/ Got some skinnies and a tee on/ And some Vans," he rhymes about his famous sense of Weezy-fied style before the song circles back to the funky chorus, where Ke$ha declares that she doesn't "need you or your brand-new Benz/ Or your bougie friends/ I don't need love lookin' like diamonds/ Lookin' like diamonds."</P><P>If any of K's fans or critics were wondering if she has the swagger to chill with the guys, she displayed some of her sass when she <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/KESHASUXX" target="_blank">tweeted</a> about the remix.
