Pregnant Irish dance DJ Annie Mac and her 27-year-old boyfriend DJ Toddla T splashed in the waves in Barbados on Sunday (January 13th).
Mac – who is a BBC Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter – announced her pregnancy in November via Twitter. The couple are expecting their child in May.
In December Mac, 34, blogged for The Huffington Post – giving tips on how to throw a house party.
She wrote: “Don’t try and be clever with the hosting aspect. I have never provided food at a house party in my life. Order pizzas get some nibbles etc. but the main thing is make sure everyone brings their own booze. And make sure you know the opening hours of the local off-license as there will be inevitable trips there throughout the night.”
It’s predicted that she won’t have time for the partying once the little one arrives!

After 21 years, My Bloody Valentine have finally finished their new album. Last month, the band announced that their follow-up to Loveless would hit store shelves by the end of 2012. With just a few days left in the year, that seems unlikely. But one thing is for sure – the new record’s release is closer than ever.
The group posted on their Facebook page that they finished mastering the new album on December 21st. This will be the band’s third full-length album, and their first in 21 years, since 1991′s Loveless.
Previously, frontman Kevin Shields announced that the record would be out this year, also saying that fans of their previous album would not be disappointed.
“I think with this record, people who like us will immediately connect with something. Based on the very, very few people who’ve heard stuff – some engineers, the band, and that’s about it – some people think it’s stranger than Loveless. I don’t. I feel like it really frees us up, and in the bigger picture it’s 100 percent necessary.”
Shields has also announced that My Bloody Valentine will be releasing the new record on their own, without help from outside labels, via their website: MyBloodyValentine.co.uk. The band has also lined up a number of shows for next year.
It seems like the record might not get released by this year, but we’ll be expecting it at the very beginning of 2013. After all, we’ve waited this long.

'There is no one that has been declared brain dead that has survived to being functional,' said neurologist Dr. Bren Masel, who was not treating Glover.
By Gil Kaufman
<P>More than a week after <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher's</a> stepson, Kile Glover, was <a href="/news/articles/1689206/ushers-stepson-declared-brain-dead-after-jet-ski-accident.jhtml">pronounced brain dead</a>
 following a traumatic head injury suffered during a <a href="/news/articles/1689261/usher-kyle-glover-jet-ski-jeffrey-s-hubbard.jhtml">jet-ski accident</a>
, the 11-year-old boy <a href="/news/articles/1690157/usher-stepson-kile-glover-taken-off-life-support.jhtml">died</a>
of heart failure on Saturday.</P><P>Glover, the son of Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, was reportedly taken off life support Saturday morning and died a short time later.</P><P>Given the seriousness of his injury, which resulted from blunt trauma to the head after Glover was hit by a jet-ski while floating in an inner tube on Atlanta's Lake Lanier, MTV News spoke to a neurologist about the prospects for victims of such major brain injuries.</P><P>"There is no one that has been declared brain dead that has survived to being functional," said neurologist Dr. Brent Masel, national director of the Brain Injury Association of America and medical director of the Transitional Learning Center of Galveston, Texas several days before Glover was pronounced dead. "They will not get better."</P><P>Masel, who was not treating Glover and had no first-hand knowledge of the case, explained that the prognosis in such cases is so grim because of the make-up of the brain. "When someone is declared brain dead, it's not that their brain is not functioning at all," he said. "There are two components to the brain, the cerebrum, which is the thinking part and the brain stem, which narrows and becomes the spinal cord."</P><P>The stem is the automatic part, which controls respiration and heart rate and someone can technically live without a functioning cerebrum, which is not unusual in such injuries. "The thinking part of the brain is no longer functioning and all the patient has functioning is the brain stem," he said. "Very often what happens when you're deciding if someone is brain dead, you take them off the respirator and they're not even breathing and the only thing going is their heart, which will stop functioning if you're not breathing."</P><P>Glover and a second victim, a 15-year-old girl, were struck by a Jet Ski while floating on an inner tube in Atlanta's Lake Lanier. Both children were airlifted to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston pediatric hospital. The girl is reported to have suffered from a cut on the head and a broken arm, while Glover took the brunt of the trauma to his head.</P><P>Asked how it's possible that Glover could have suffered such a terrible wound while the girl in the inner tube with him escaped with less serious injuries, Masel said it is part of the unpredictable nature of trauma medicine. Pointing to a jet-skiing accident he was involved in 10 years ago in which he nearly ran over a friend's son, as well as the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (whose case he helped work on), Masel said "it's a matter of millimeters."</P><P>Just a few millimeters over and Glover may have come out with a very different wound, he said, noting that there are several very vulnerable spots on the brain that can result in such injuries. "As physicians, especially with a child, it's the hardest thing in the world because very often the child sort of looks okay and there are miracles that could occur," he said.</P><P>"What I always try to do is ask, 'what would I do if this was my sister or brother?' If I were the doctor I would say, 'if this were my child this is what I would do.' Could you breathe for that patient forever? Yes, We know artificial respiration isn't adequate, [though] and it's not the same as breathing normally. You can have someone on a respirator for a long period of time and eventually the brain deteriorates. Even if they said they want[ed] to keep him on the respirator for six months, or a year and wait for a miracle, the brain [wouldn't] be the same."</P><P>The man driving the jet ski has been identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a family friend. At this time the police have determined that no drugs were involved, and no charges have been filed.</P>

Bieber's 'As Long As You Love Me' offer 'took me off guard,' says Madsen, who also starred with MJ in 2001.
By Jocelyn Vena
<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> tweeted that when he was looking for inspiration for his <a href="/news/articles/1690963/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-music-video-premiere.jhtml">"As Long As You Love Me" video</a>, there was no one he wanted to <a href="/news/articles/1691049/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-michael-jackson.jhtml">emulate more than Michael Jackson</a>.</P><P>Coincidentally, when he needed someone to play his foe in the clip, he looked no further than a guy who has some experience working with Jackson.</P><P>That man is Michael Madsen, who appeared in Jackson's 2001 gangster-themed video for "You Rock My World" off his <i>Invincible</i> album. Oddly enough, the only people that have ever really asked the hard-edged actor to appear in videos happen to be Bieber and Jackson.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Michael Madsen Has A Soft Spot For Justin Bieber" id="vid:822276" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"Hardly ever [am I asked to be in videos], that was why it was kind of funny cause that doesn't usually happen," he told MTV News. "It came out of nowhere. It was the last thing in the world I expected, to be called by Justin Bieber. It was kind of funny. It took me off guard. It's not the usual thing people think of me for, but considering the role, maybe."</P><P>In <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">the video</a>, Madsen plays a tough guy who <a href="/news/articles/1691089/justin-bieber-michael-madsen-as-long-as-you-love-me-punch.jhtml">beats up Bieber</a> after the teen ignores his request to stay away from his daughter. It was that cinematic storyline that got Madsen interested.</P><P>"I didn't want to imagine myself on a trampoline with a lollipop, so I asked for the story. I realized it was almost like a film production; and of course, I kind of figured that it might be an interesting thing to do," he said about the Anthony Mandler-directed video. "I didn't know what to expect... I was surprised... They got me a good wardrobe. That was my shirt though. I brought my own shirt; those kinds of shirts are kind of rare.</P><P>"The story is so much Shakespearian; the couple, they run off together out the window," he later continued. "It's rather like that, I thought that was interesting. And I thought the kid, he had an enormous talent and he was very gracious to my sons and was very gracious to my family."</P><P>It was actually those sons that convinced the Hawaiian-shirt-wearing "Kill Bill" star to make the video with Bieber. "Well I was surprised at first that the kid was interested in having me be part of his video," he recalled. "I went to my sons and I asked my boys, I asked my sons what they thought if I should if they thought I should do it or not. And, of course, they gently placed their hand on my shoulder and said 'Dad don't you realize who Justin Bieber is?' And I said 'Well, no, actually I didn't.' But with their blessing I decided I thought it might be interesting."</P><P><i>Do you think Michael Madsen's appearance in "As Long As You Love Me" bumps Bieber to MJ status? Seth MacFarlane is not for everybody. The jokester behind Family Guy and the movie Ted loves to offend people nearly as much as he loves to make them laugh. He's vulgar. He's smarmy. On the flip side, he can be uproariously funny, and he's extremely popular. How, then, does that bode for his role as Oscar host?

After experiencing a bit of pre-production chaos (to say the least), "Godzilla" is dusting itself off and moving on…to its next potential leading man.
Now that Joseph Gordon-Levitt definitely isn't going to play the lead role in Gareth Edwards' reboot, Legendary Pictures is looking to Aaron Johnson as its choice frontrunner for the job. Before Johnson and Gordon-Levitt, the studio also considered Henry Cavill, Scoot McNairy and Caleb Landry Jones.
But it seems that Johnson is treading carefully—the "Kick-Ass" and "Savages" star is reportedly waiting to read Frank Darabont's re-written, polished script before signing his name on anything.
Plot details are barely existent, but Warner Bros. and Legendary are supposedly planning to put a grittier spin on the classic Toho original. And aside from the whole giant-lizard-versus-buildings thing, it's been said that the film will feature more than one monster and a mysterious human soldier character, who we can presume will be played by Johnson or whoever else might nab the role.
Despite all of the crazy setbacks, "Godzilla" is still "on course" to start filming in March (hrm…) and will play in theaters on May 16, 2014. In the meantime, check out a trailer for Roland Emmerich's 1998 interpretation.
