Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher has been crowned the highest paid TV actor, topping the annual Forbes List.
Ashton Kutcher has taken more than just Charlie Sheen’s old spot on Two and a Half Men. The 34-year old star has also been named one the highest paid actors on TV, making the Forbes List at #1. According to E! Online, Kutcher has managed to rake in $24 million for his role as the billionaire Waldon Schmidt.
Sheen was also coined one of the highest paid actors back in 2010. The ‘Anger Management’ lead star was previously making close to $2 million an episode. This year the troubled celebrity, who currently appears to be on the straight and narrow, didn’t make the list.
Joining Kutcher on the list of Forbes top money makers in the #2 spot is Hugh Laurie of ‘House’ fame. Laurie made $18 million for his role as the sarcastic but brilliant doc who bid farewell to loyal fans last year. Coming in at #3 is long time actor and ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ alum, Ray Romano.
Ramono may have failed to nab ratings with his short lived series ‘Men of a Certain Age’ on TNT, but the recent ‘Parenthood’ guest star earned $18 million, sitting comfortably alongside Laurie. ’30 Rock’ actor Alec Baldwin has also made the list of highest paid actors with $18 million as well.
Falling right below Baldwin at #4 is Mark Harmon of NCIS fame. Harmon has earned $15 million for his gig as Special Agent Jethro Gibbs. Tim Allen ($14 million) of ‘Last Man Standing’ fills out the rest of the list, with Jon Cryer ($13 million), Ashton Kutcher’s co-star, also scoring millions for his spot in prime time.
Tell us what you think TV fans. Is it strange to see Kutcher filling the former post of Sheen as TV’s highest paid actor? What about Hugh Laurie and Ray Romano making the list? Leave us your comments below.
