50 Cent’s fifth record is finally set for release, as the long gestating album has just been given a release date of November 13th. Following in the footsteps of his other, equally subtle album titles—Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Massacre, Curtis, and Before I Self Destruct—the new album is called Street King Immortal. Get it? It’s because he’s badass, you guys.
As mentioned above, the album will be released on November 13th, but 50 Cent dropped a new single last Saturday. “New Day,” produced by Dr. Dre, mixed by Eminem, and featuring Alicia Keys on a soaring chorus, is a pretty rousing singe. Check it out:
Street King Immortal will be released via Shady/ Aftermath/ Interscope this fall. The album has been a long time coming, as 50 Cent began recording in 2009 and 2010 for a song cycle he initially titled Black Magic. Black Magic was originally planned to be a fusion of multiple genres such as rock, dance and hip-hop; however, it has been shelved in favor of Street King Immortal’s more traditional hip-hop approach.
As for the quality of the album, 50 Cent recently tweeted that Street King Immortal “is the best album I’v made sense “GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN.”
Ok, so spelling’s not the guy’s strong suit.
What do you think of the 50 Cent news?

"It's really his show. I'm not going to take anything away from it. I just come out do my verse, keep it player, keep it moving, and it's fun though."</P><P>Sean added that he was looking forward to some of that TCA attention. I've been watching a lot of HGTV since coming to LA. My favorite shows are House Hunters and House Hunters International. There's also another show I like to watch called For Rent, but only because it makes me angry.
When it comes to apartments/homes, I think living in New York for the past eleven years has made me bitter because there was this whiny broad on For Rent a few nights ago who was looking at a huge place—A HUGE PLACE—and was like, "There's no place for a dining room table..."
B*TCH, YOU'RE LUCKY TO GET A KITCHEN IN NEW YORK.
I hated her.
Now there's some stupid lady on House Hunters who wants a townhouse with a fireplace that she can turn on with a light switch. IT HAS TO BE A LIGHT SWITCH because she doesn't want to bend down and flip a switch on the floor.
WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE?
Anyway, I know my LA update is WAY overdue (and truth be told I wrote a long one last week but for some reason it didn't save so I lost the whole thing and I was so angry that I just said, "Ah, f*ck it," and closed the computer instead of rewriting) but to give you a quick update, I AM SO HAPPY HERE. I MEAN, I'M REALLY, REALLY HAPPY. And I think living here and watching HGTV—both of these things combined—has made me realize that New York was just beating me down. I mean, the fireplace lady—yes, she's an idiot. But there's nothing wrong with wanting a dining room table. Why did I get so mad at that lady?
Since being here, at least once a day I ask myself why I have lived in New York for so long. (It's like I had Stockholm Syndrome or something.) CALIFORNIA IS AWESOME. It's like the promised land. It's sunny all the time and there are birds and flowers everywhere. I have space out here. I have a sofa on the patio out here. I HAVE A SOFA OUTSIDE. I haven't seen one rat since I've been here. But hummingbirds? THEY ZIP BY MY HEAD EVERY DAY. I am so happy.
I'm supposed to go back to New York in November, but truth be told, I'm not sure I will.

Raising Sand, from Led Zeppelin vet and bluegrass superstar, wins five Grammys on Sunday night.
By James Montgomery with MTV News staff
<P>"I'm bewildered," <a href="/music/artist/plant_robert/artist.jhtml">Robert Plant</a> said onstage as he accepted the <MTVNLINK type="news" id="1604580">Grammy Album of the Year award</MTVNLINK> with <a href="/music/artist/krauss_alison/artist.jhtml">Alison Krauss</a> on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."</P><P>He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because <i>Raising Sand,</i> which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys/">Grammy</a> album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.</p><div style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left;"><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:338316" width="256" height="223" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashVars="configParams=instance%3Dnews%26vid%3D338316" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></div><p></P><P>You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his <a href="/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</a> days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history.</P><P>Really, she's the key to <i>Sand</i>'s success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music — so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, <i>Sand</i> was released.</P><P>And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain.</P><P>And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on <i>Sand.</i> His arrangements are sparse — giving the two voices ample room to breathe — yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified.</P><P>To date, <i>Sand</i> has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year — "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.</P><P>One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album.</P><P>"At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" <i>New York Times</i> music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really <i>good</i> record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards." </p>

'On this record, I said, 'Let's leave the tricks to a minimum and let me wail,' ' Ke$ha tells Rolling Stone about her 'vulnerable' album.
By James Montgomery
<P>Last month, seemingly against the will of his employer, super producer Dr. Luke leaked a snippet of a song called <a href="/news/articles/1686772/kesha-supernatural-single.jhtml">"Supernatural,"</a> a walloping slab of electro-pop presumably set to be featured on <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>'s long-in-the-works new album.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Says New Album Will Be ' Balls-Out, Irreverent Rock'" id="vid:652875" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"You leaked my song about me having sexy time with a ghost!" Ke$h subsequently tweeted at Luke." Now everyone knows I get it on with ghosts!"</P><P>Of course, we're assuming Ke$ha was just feigning outrage at the sneak peek, because in an interview in the new issue of <i>Rolling Stone,</i> she speaks in-depth about her upcoming album (tentatively due later this year), saying that it melds her Auto-Tuned, pop-heavy past with her current, <a href="/news/articles/1663946/kesha-new-album.jhtml">classic rock-indebted present</a>.</P><P>"I want it to be a mix of what works on the radio and what I listen to in my spare time," she said. "I'm on a steady diet of T. Rex and Iggy Pop."</P><P>Ke$ha and Luke also previewed a handful of tracks for the magazine (they have 17 songs in various forms of completion), including "Die Young," the aforementioned "Supernatural" and "Last Goodbye." Tentative guest stars include Flaming Lips' main man Wayne Coyne — who, back in May, <a href="/news/articles/1685827/kesha-flaming-lips-tattoo.jhtml">spoke to MTV News</a> about working with the singer — Pop and Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney. And unlike her previous <i>Animal</i> and <i>Cannibal</i> albums, Ke$ha said that, on her new record, she's not afraid to get deep.</P><P>"The first two records talked more about partying, which is a great, magical part of life. But some songs on the new record are more personal and vulnerable," she said. "And you can hear more of the music I listen to when I'm lying in my bed. I'm not claiming that it's a rock record, but as long as it's f---ing good, you can call it whatever you want."</P><P>And though Ke$ha's worked hard at cultivating her hard-partying persona, her new album is very much a labor of love ... not to mention a nod to the naysayers who dismissed her as nothing more than a flash in the pan.</P><P>"About 90 percent of the time, I don't give a f---. But I give so many f---s about this album," she said. "Some people weren't sure if I could sing. On this record, I said 'Let's leave the tricks to a minimum and let me <i>wail.</i>' "</P><P><i>What do you hope to hear on Ke$ha's upcoming album? Leave your comment below!</i></p>

Spears goes head to head with Demi Lovato after a young male contestant performs in the first auditions.
By Emily Blake
<P>When "The X Factor" producers announced that they were adding Britney Spears to the judges' panel, experts and viewers wondered whether she would have what it takes to sit alongside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid to dole out advice to bright-eyed singers. But from the sounds of audio leaked to <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/05/24/britney-spears-x-factor-demi-lovato/">TMZ</a> from the first round of auditions, it seems that the audience thinks Spears will do just fine.</P><P>After months of speculation, <a href="/news/articles/1684813/britney-spears-x-factor-judge.jhtml">Spears was officially added to the "X Factor"</a> judges' panel in May for a cool $15 million per season. While the show doesn't premiere until September, audio leaked Thursday (May 24) from auditions in Austin, Texas, give us a taste of what we'll be in for come fall. In the clip, Spears and fellow newbie Demi Lovato give differing critiques to a young male contestant.</P><P>"I think that you have a great voice and your tone was great," 19-year-old Lovato told the contestant. "But, I don't really know where you fit. I don't know what's going to set you apart from other musicians who are boys. So, I think you just have to find out what makes you special and what separates you from all the other teenage boys in this industry."</P><P>Britney, on the other hand, had a some kinder words for the amateur singer. "I think you can be bigger than the next Justin Bieber," Spears said, eliciting a rambunctious response from the crowd.</P><P>"I feel like your runs are amazing," she added. "And I do feel like with a little more training, you could actually [inaudible] better presentation, but I see what's there. And you're very gifted. Thank you."</P><P><i>Do you think that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have what it takes to be a judge on "The X Factor"? The fallout from Kristen Stewart cheating on her boyfriend Roberr Pattinson continues and this time it is he who is making headlines. The hunky actor has reportedly moved out of the home he shared with his cheating girlfriend.
According People magazine Rob has taken a bold step in response to KStew’s cheating, he has moved out. The alleged change of address for Pattinson occurred on Thursday a mere day after Stewart admitted that she had hooked up with her Snow White Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Her married director as I am sure you are all aware. She is disgusting if you ask me but that is for another article.
Up until this recent action Robert has been keeping his silence since the whole cheating scandal broke. Actually he still is keeping mum on the subject because there hasn’t even been a statement released by him but in this case his actions speak volumes. Here is the kicker though the house actually belongs to the British actor, so any move is probably going to be temporary. Seriously he should have kicked her but to the curb after what she did not left his own house.
As I said above the heartbroken actor has been able to keep quiet regarding the scandal so far but soon he will find himself in a publicity bonanza to promote his film Cosmopolis. The movie is being released in the United States on August 17th so he could start doing publicity as early as next week, which means the poor guy will undoubtedly be bombarded with questions about the cheating scandal and the status of his relationship[ with cheater Kristen. Then come November the couple, if they still are by then, will be forced to promote the last Twilight film Breaking Dawn Part 2.
That is the latest dirt on what is going on with Robert and Kristen. This cheating scandal fallout seems to be far from over if you ask me.
